HP elitebook 8470p dump urgent !!!

Hi...

I need a bios dump for HP elitebook 8470p...dump is 16mb
Mine is locked,so i need to unlock it...

There is a dump on other forums but i can`t download it...nightmare forum rules and permissions...

look for other eproms, its possible that password is in another eeprom, besides main bios

Sorry if this is a dumb question but can that bios dump be used to reset the bios password on a HP 8470P notebook? I can access my OS but not my bios... forgot my password. Thanks for any help!

Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum and to be honest joined because i was looking for an 8470p dump, can I ask how you are reprogramming the chip, i.e in circuit or do you need to remove it (I have access to programmers etc as I work in the industrial electronics field, I repair automation and control stuff, plc's and the like)

I hope my background will allow me to help others out on this forum, looks like a great place to hang out

Desolder, backup juct in case, erase eprom, write new unlocked bios, solder back
dont forget to remove cmos battery before all

Hey guys I'm wondering if some 1 have bios.bin or bios.rom for hp elitebook 8470w mine was with password and i didn't find a file for it, so i flashed it with 8470p file it booted for 1 hour and now the laptop won't boot up again, motherboard number 686042-001
any help I'll be grateful .

Best regards sorry for bother you, but did you have to desolder the bios chio in order to reset the password, or there is another alternative.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.
