So this is probably a stupid question but what would happen if the nand was erased completely, i'm guessing you would still be able to get into dfu but would it restore ?

When you say serial is stored in nand do you mean an area of the ssd flash memory that we can't normally access or a different nand chip ?Leave a comment:

I realise this would mean a few solder / desolder cycles for the ROM but would it help if we had a copy of the same ROM when Activation Locked and when not ?
Obviously an M1 that is not already locked would be needed to start with.Leave a comment:

Hi Guys,
I'm new to this forum and to be honest joined because i was looking for an 8470p dump, can I ask how you are reprogramming the chip, i.e in circuit or do you need to remove it (I have access to programmers etc as I work in the industrial electronics field, I repair automation and control stuff, plc's and the like)
I hope my background will allow me to help others out on this forum, looks like a great place to hang out
