BIOS for Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 - Model 2036

    Hi ya folks,

Attached is the BIOS from a Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 - Model 2036
As of right now i am unable to confirm whether this BIOS dump works or not.
But i will update soon. Hopefully in a day or two.

Given that no one else uploaded any BIOS backup for this laptop, I thought i might as well start a new thread and upload what i have.

    Microsoft Surface Laptop 7th edition
    Model 2036
    SN 0F3CPFB24153HH

Remember, If you tried to read this chip with CH341A, this device will not identify this chip for you.
Both ASProgrammer and NEO Programmer It will show you empty screen.
    I used W25Q512JV [3.3V] to read it.

Markings on the BIOS chip are
    winbond
    25Q512NWEQ
    2408
    6338
    FB00051

I have repaired over 200 of laptop, All-in-One, and tablets motherboards, but this is my first encounter of 512 Mb chip. Which is 64MB.

    Have a nice day folks

Does this mean the bios chip is damaged?
just to be sure, let me read it again with 1.8V adapter attached and compare both files.

Fingers crossed this 512Mb chip is well.

Chip is fine. Readings from both 3.3V file and 1.8V file are the same.
Compared the files. Completely identical. I can see the Model and Serial number in the BIOS file

This laptop was released last year (2024). Therefore, if anyone else happens to have other bios dump, please share.

FYI - i used 1.8V adapter with my CH341A and used W25Q512JV [3.3V] to read the chip.
If there was 1.8V W25Q setting with 512Mb under detect in CH341a then we wouldn't need the 1.8V adapter.

        Anyway, happy repairs everyone
