Dell 5410 greyed out BT

Well I've learned something new today. Of all the Dell laptops I've come across I have never seen bluetooth greyed out, and only to learn this is during the build from Dell factory. I've tried to pull the original BIOS and fix with another dell with the same issue on the forums, however the original was not recovered from the forum upgrade so I cannot do a comparison to attempt the fix on my own.

If someone could help me out with this unit and I'll try the next one as so far I have 2 on my desk with this issue. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately it seems the bluetooth is still greyed out. I tried with CMOS battery out and battery disconnected with only AC power. Reset bios to defaults and no change. I even changed the Wifi card that has bluetooth module built in and still greyed out.

After checking the original and fixed file with Beyond compare, this edit might be over my head as I see many changes. I thought it would be just maybe one bit flip, but seems more complicated. Especially now that I see the fixed bios still hasn't removed the greyed out BT opition. Unless I'm missing something?

I realize the build configuration from Dell states no BT. The wifi card that was installed does have BT built in, but I have read on other posts outside of this forum that Dell can grey out this option at the factory and assuming it was put into the default bios firmware. I've even swapped out wifi cards and verified BT is fine. Even the one verified I installed on this laptop, the BT was still greyed out.

There was another forum member whom had the same issue with a different Dell model and I think it was Hoaca who helped him out as well with a fixed bios. According to the member, the fix had worked. I have a couple of units like this and was hoping it could be removed.

I encountered this error on Dell Precision 7560 and Latitude 5520. I replaced the wifi card as described and received bluetooth normally. The signal pin on the wifi is different from the Wifi AX201 card, so maybe the error is due to the signal line on the mainboard, you can try

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I have already verified it does have BT in an identical model which does not have BT greyed out. Works just fine, but any confirmed BT wifi cards I install are greyed out on this unit which leads me to believe it was done at the factory through firmware. I will try Hoacas fixed bios again as maybe it was a fluke. I may post the other units BIOS here to and if Hoaca can help again it would be greatly appreciated, to which I can see if the other unit will give me the same results.

I was hoping to figure out this one after comparing files, but I think it's a little over my head.
