Gs66 10sfs bios issue

I tried to update bios with ch341 and normally all is good.

now it says that buffer size is not equal to ic size.

I downloaded bios and ec from msi website.


Laptop model - GS66-10sfs
mobo model - MS-16V11 ver 1.0
Programmer used: ch341
ec chip - Mxic mx 25l12872f
bios chip - winbond 25q16jvnic

Tried ch341 programmer software and other softwares. I can read and write but buffer size is not the same as chip. Looms lije file is larger than chip can handle. Maybe need to trim file

your bios is longer...the one on the site is ok...try it...see how you write it... E16V1IMS.112.rar

Will double check it on tuesday or wednesday.

I updated already to msi site bios but thats where it said that buffer size not equal to ic

only thing i need to check in boardview is that bios chip is winbond not mxic

Looks like Mxic mx 25l12872f was bios, but still something is off here. I cant find ec chip.

the one i named as bios winbond 25q16jvnic had lan written in boardview which could be some lan flash

Anyone could help to understand bios and ec chips for this laptop.

Is there ic chip? Or only bios chip with combined ec and bios firmwares
