    Hello everyone,

    About a year ago, I accidentally erased the firmware on the SPI ROM of a Thunderbolt retimer in my computer, mistaking it for the main BIOS chip. Since then, the Thunderbolt controller no longer appears in Device Manager, and I'm unable to use Thunderbolt functionality.

    For context, my system has two retimers: UT5 and UT3. The one I erased is the UT3, which uses a W25Q80DVSSIG chip. In an attempt to fix this, I used a CH341A programmer to copy the ROM data from the UT5 retimer to the UT3, hoping it would restore functionality. Unfortunately, this didn't...

    My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

    Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

    My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
    The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.

    I've purchased 2nd hand Dell Latitude E7470 i7-6600U and it works fine, except ... there are no TPM or TXT/Trusted Execution settings in the BIOS/Firmware. However, looking at the schematics I found the chip handling TPM (NPCT650JA0YX) soldered to the system board. Also, looking at the service tag and the product specifications, this device comes with TPM (and vPro) support (I know that devices sold in China, Russia are not allowed to ship with TPM but this should be reflected in the service tag). I can also login to MBex to configure, etc.

    Hi!

    I changed thunderbolt controller (JHL6340) on HP Omen 15-dc0001nh laptop.. The controller is new one, and i think i must load firmware to make it working.
    Now no thunderbolt controller in device manager.
    Anyone have idea?
    Intel not load any firmware into the chip? On HP support only drivers available

    does anybody have the firmware for the TPS65982DA conroller? Type-C 3.1 gen 2 and HDMI is not working. I have replaced Alpine Ridge controller JHL6340 so far (bought on Ali Express), since it had low resistance on one of the HDMI diff pairs. I tried the firmware from the VN7-792G, which has TPS65982ZQZR (different index!) onboard which at least has stopped hanging when restarting and HDMI started showing discolored picture on my monitor with DVI adapter (but no picture on my TV with native HDMI port). Would be glad if someone could upload working firmware, so I can proceed...
