  • SMDFlea I went to a repair shop with the laptop today and they said if it doesnt have the original bricked firmware, its just gonna be screaming errors. So, just to have this if I ever fix this board (I may plan on replacing it entirely because the repair seems too expensive) can you fix this for me with lenovo's files please?...

  • Lenovo ThinkPad X1C6 thunderbolt firmware request

Hi there, I have a ThinkPad X1C6 which I got cheap from a friend as I've mentioned before if you decide on checking my profile, but it has issues, including both the bios and thunderbolt firmware bricked. So far, I got a 20KG bios from indiafix, however, I still haven't figured out how to fix the thunderbolt firmware issue ( I feel like mentioning that I've never worked with FL1 and FL2 files or with any Lenovo product and I'd wish to not brick something beyond repair. ). Can someone with this same model of laptop give me a thunderbolt dump of the chip (Winbond W25Q80 ONLY) and compare my dump...

  • Got it, might stick to that only since I've sorted my bios issue theoretically

  • I see. Can this also be an issue with the usb c ports not working? Oh and...I do wanna ask, how can i properly find out what component died on me when im measuring? I'll be honest im kinda aimlessly pointing things at my multimeter and i do have no idea on how to measure things thoroughly since i never worked with any of this before...

  • Update: I think It's probably the thunderbolt firmware, I'm not too familiar with it, but is it also a possibility that the usb c's aren't working when i plug in the ac adapter? I can also change from bios requests to the right category if needed

  • The serial number is PF-1ELXLJ, type 20KG-S54200, i have no other info about the chassis or the motherboard itself. As for him tampering with that chip, no, he didn't touch it ; the previous owner was updating the bios on this and he forgot to plug in the laptop to charge to which then it died, passed it to my friend, my friend lost patience and didnt pay attention to remove the cmos battery and the main battery while reflashing a random bios, powered the laptop on, then a ceramic capacitor blew up and thats when i said to give me the laptop which i got this week on monday. As for the bios chip...

  • ThinkPad X1C6 winbond 25q80dvsig chip dump request

Hi, I got a ThinkPad x1 carbon 6th gen from a friend after in an attempt to fix it he ended up bricking the motherboard. today i tried plugging the laptop to the wall and i got no signs of life, despite the connections being proper. i've found out this winbond 25q80dvsig chip under a label near the usb c ports and i gave it a read, and the output has massive chunks of 0000 0000 0000 0000 followed by FFFF FFFF FFFF FFFF and sometimes some proper values scattered across the whole chip. I've attached the file because I've read people request it in order to fix it. Moderators, if I've posted this...
