L15 Gen 4 Supervisor PW reset

Hi

I have a problem I want to reinstall win11 on my laptop but I set a supervisor password which I forgot so I couldnt get into the boot menu. I then tried to enter my "standard" Passwords but now it just tells me that i am locked out and a superuser password is required and that I should press F1 to enter setup. Unfortunately I havent registered my Fingerprint with it.

Any way to reset the supervisor password without contacting lenovo? I have seen some kind of usb device however I think I would need access to the BIOS to flash it, right?

No you must take out the board and look some nr on it
also look what the SIO chip is

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

Hi I have forgot my supervisor password too. Lenovo L15 Gen 4 Winbond 25Q16JVSIQ 2401 . Can anyone upload a custom bios? I'm unable to read the chip with CH341A and SOP 8 Clamp.

Can I flash the file attached to the post you quoted without SVOD or Vertyanov programmer? Is there a tool such as flashrom I can use to flash the .BIN file attached ?

Post 13 is the one i quoted. Don`t try to flash anything, the pass is in the NPCX997 chip. I think you have 3 options, buy one of the programmers mentioned, take the laptop to a repair shop or remember the password.
