Continuing the saga of trying to unlock the password of these bios of this damn, I leave here my attempts, following the steps that I followed in this topic.
After buying 2 Chip MEC1503 on AliExpress, both came with defect, one was short and the other with password too!
So I followed the steps mentioned here and tried to read and write on this chip using a SAS (Vertyanov) and a unsuccessful RT809! The chip does not go out or read, but can be identified.
I leave here an updated image of how to enable the JTAG on this board, remembering that you have to insert all 5 resistors 10k that informs on the graph.
A colleague here from Forum ► MMCCOMPUTER says you managed to remove the T14 password! But he did not respond to colleagues of how it was done, may be keeping absolute secret, or may be the MEC1663 and not MEC1503.
I talked to a guy who does the service, he informs that it is impossible to read or write on MEC1503, and says it is done via patch, but just makes the machine in hand! It does not make the patch and deliver the file as it was done before.

Really, after I remove the MEC and return with the original, the machine now has 20v, thus proving that the chip was defective. I don't have a stencil for this chip so I managed to remove the defective one very perfectly, so much so that even the spheres were on the board, so I put the original back. Lucky I bought 2 MEC1503, I'll test the other one and see if it works or if it's also defective.

Sorry friend, but it doesn't make sense! The machine should at least give 20v to the source even if it didn't turn on. I will resort to other options. See that in the friend's post here in the group he didn't do any of this, he just changed the MEC installed and corrected the parameters with U1 pendrive. He practically made a guide to get around this damn lockdown! The board is the same as the T14s (NM-D352). Anyway, thank you for the support.Leave a comment:

I confess to you that what happened in your case may be pure coincidence!
I flashed it using 8 different files on the u2202, and the machine maintains the same consumption (5v-0.2A), and not even the power LED lights up.

Yes, the password is stored in a 2KB EEPROM within the EC chip, so removing it will clear the password unless you solder a replacement EC chip containing a password. After soldering, you need the Lenovo U1 Tool to program the serial number, model, and type.

The machine worked normally before, when changing the MEC1503 chip, shouldn't the machine turn on? Have you ever done this before?

There are 2 BIOS chip in other side of the board. 1 for system BIOS another for EC. Try flash different EC EEPROM and it will boot.Leave a comment:

first time posting here. I have been lurking a bit trying to find a solution but with little to no avail.
So I have a Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen2. When I got it (for free) it was turning on but not charging because the battery was unplugged. When I plug the battery in, the Laptop won't boot at all.
Specs:- Type: Lenovo ThinkPad P15 Gen2 20YQ-001KGE
- CPU, GPU, RAM work fine (not involved in the Problem)
So the first thought was to toss the battery and get a new one, as clearly the BMS is throwing errors or something.
Now I noticed... - Loading...
- No more items.
