with your methods does it rewrite asset number and other info in bios or literally just take off the password.. Because I can do it myself but having more devices with same asset number well that kinda not gonna work with me

Off-topic ,the service tag is for a Latitude 5490 ,it has a ProSupport warranty, Expires 11 MAR 2022 .Register the laptop,call dell with proof of ownership and they will give the password.
