legion FY510 NM-B961 EC chip replaced

    Hello

i replaced blown super IO on Lenovo legion, motherboard FY510 NM-B961

    10 bucks, i said i will try

before it was dead, now i get a fan spin, keyboard lights up and laptop shuts down

can anyone tell me, is this because of a blank EC chip, (do i have to program it, bios EC erase,..?) or do i have other HW failure?

it's my first time replacing super IO, so sorry for stupid questions

    BR

    and thanks for answer guys

      i replaced IT8226e
i was reading that on some motherboards automatically program it, so if replace it with a programmed one it will work?
