    HP 15-bs109np keeps corrupting bios

    Hi,

Have this laptop that wouldn't show any signs of life, sometimes had a bit of fan spin, others, just a very dim CAPS LED blink.
Cleaned dumped ME bios region, the laptop power on fine again. After turning it off, it shows the same behavior.

    What is causing this?

Uploaded original dumped bin, original ME cleaned bin and untouched bin files from HP website.

    Thank you.

Have an update. Just flashed the cleared ME bin again, and the laptop doesn't boot. Just the power LED lights up. No HDD activity.

Can I just flash any of those bin files? shouldn't some serial numbers be copied over from the original bin over to those?

Check the chipset support with ME Analyzer. There`s no need to post them. HP bundle multiple updates for different machines in the same update.

            084D4 is Gemini Lake

            0832D is Braswell/Cherry Trail

            0832E is Apollo Lake

            The 15-bs109np has a i5-8250U CPU , Skylake/Kaby Lake . 08328

Flash the bios at post #2 ,its a virgin bios with clean configured ME FW . If it doesn`t work then its a hardware problem.

Yeah, flashed #2, the laptop powers on, there is fan spin, then it powers itself off after around 10s, not powering on itself again.
When pressing power afterwards, there is a shorter fan spin and the CAPS LED seems to flash randomly.
Which hardware issue can it be? It powered fine once after cleaning ME, now it's not doing it again.

                  Problem solved.
Upon close inspection to the side of the board facing the keyboard, found a slight corrosion or water damage in Q21 located close to the usb ports.

Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n DMI Data extraction from dumped BIOS
                    by Kentsfield
                    Hi,

                    I got a Lenovo Thinkcentre M75n (MT-M 11G5 PF3XG5V3) with a semi-bricked bios.

Short recap: I want to add an external GPU via the M.2 slot (Oculink). It does work but has some problems with the onboard GPU of the Ryzen 3 3300U. So I used Smokeless_UMAF to disable it. Since then I don't get any video via the external GPU nor the iGPU and Can't access the BIOS, but the PC does boot to the OS.

I desoldered the flash IC MX25U12872F and dumped the flash.

I also downloaded the newest BIOS and have it as a .bin file (I loosely compared the contents...

                    ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
                    by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                    Some issues
                    A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

                    Things I tried

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                    by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

Summary of BIOS Whitelist Removal Problem

                    Problem:
I am attempting to remove the WWAN card whitelist from my Lenovo ThinkPad T560.
                    Initial Findings:
                    • My current BIOS version is N1KET58W (1.45).
                    • I have a CH341A programmer and have successfully created two full backups of my BIOS.
                    • I have the ability to use command-line tools on a Linux machine.
                    Troubleshooting Steps & Conclusions:
                    • I attempted to use several automated and manual patching methods on my N1KET58W (1.45) BIOS, including using hex strings. These attempts all failed.
                    • I concluded that the
