always when you make a bios request post the original bios even if it is corrupted..
Due to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Don't have a backup or tools right now to make a backup of the original bios.

Can the one available on Lenovo's page be used (still new to this, so unclear what can and can't do)?

you need the original bios from the laptop for the DMI information, not the update from the website....you do this with an SPI programmer...I sent you an informative video...

                Sorry, zipped/uploaded the wrong file.
My first try was empty, as you noticed - learning by doing.

                Here's the right file.

                Thanks for replying so quickly.

But I should be able to just try to program this bin-file to the bios chip now?

Tried and tried, now I got a successful programming/write and also IC verify. But unfortunately still the PC won't start.

Just as background information. Previously (before new bios) the PC would light-up and spin-up but not boot to bios or anywhere. Now it is totally silent and black.

As said, managed to program the bios successfully with the provided file - but the PC is totally dead.

                                    Hi.
Thank you for being here guys.
I have an issue with my s7 as well.
I went ahead and dumped the original bios from my W25Q128JV Lenovo Legion s7 15IMH5
                                    S/N: PF2KVBVQ
I believe bios is corrupted and i would like a new instal but as there is only one available and i have it already i cant just install it from windows level as you know.
                                    I will attach original dump.
Would someone kind enough help me with getting new bios and importing all my serial numbers and other info from my original dump to nice and clean and fresh bios file so i can program it to my s7?
Thank you for your time and effort in doing so i appreciate it.
                                    Stay safe.

Thank you for repaired dump ill try soon.
I'm new to bios at the level you talk - i might have presented myself as more knowledgeable thank I'm - I'm just a fool.
I understand you did not find an abstraction layer provided by my system management BIOS that provides information about my computer's hardware to my operating system and you want me to back it up using Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0
I just tried and get error of can not identify bios - lol something is really wrong with it.

I used x gecu programmer and clips instead of removing the chip - might that be a reason? - I did not get any errors while doing so that is why i assumed this was success read.
I can unsolder it and read again if that helps.
                                        What would you suggest?
                                        Sorry to be a pain.
                                        Stay safe.
