Hi there, im wondering if anyone has any insight on my issue. i have a blade 15 2019 advance model. The other week something dropped onto my screen and cracked it (yikes!!!). i found a replacement online and installed it(not sure if this is the reason for my issue or just a coincident) i also do not have a battery installed. (it inflated some time ago and i opted not to have one)
so out of the blue i tried to power on my laptop but it wouldn't come on. the power pack had its green light and i changed power sockets to check that. i wiggled the cable around and ensured it was all secured. eventually the keyboard light shone and then turned off. i had to keep trying it in different positions and eventually it came on and loaded into windows. so i tried to load a game and after about 5 seconds of the game going through its initial loading screens the laptop just went dead and wouldn't power back on.
so i had to go through the same scenario to get it back on. eventually after a few failed attempts of the keyboard lighting up and then dyeing it eventually powered on into windows. i tried a different game and it did it again.
i repeated this a few times
i found that windows would work ok with no crashes. i did eventually mange to get the game working and i played for a few hours then shutdown the laptop and unplugged it....... the next day i had to go through all this again to get the game working again.
situation now is i think i have to leave my laptop plugged into the wall and not disconnect it..... this is where i am in this saga.i have left my laptop plugged in and turn on at the wall for several days and each time i have turned on the laptop the game has started no problem. next step is to turn it off at the socket
i also noticed a very feint clicking noise when i press the power button. i am assuming this is normal and meant to do this. but when it doesn't turn on i can here a slightest ticking noise. it so feint its nearly inaudible. but when i waited for the ticking noise to stop the power button would work then repeat the cycle. im thinking its stuck in some sort of power mode and i have to wait before i can use the power button.
i know this is long but thanks for reading(if you made it this far)
