Macbook Pro 2015 (A1398) 820-00138-A doesn’t wake up when using macOS

    Hello everyone !
I have an A1398 Macbook Pro (820-00138-A) that can't wake up from sleep, but only in macOS (tested with Monterey). Strangely, it does wakeup when using Windows 11. What could cause this issue? A sensor? Thank you!

Here are some photos of the logicboard

that can't wake up from sleep
    Long night ??

Check the trackpad / SMC_LID voltage to ground when the lid is open. Remove the trackpad cable and test again.

*Sorry for the lack of basic knowledge, I am still learning*

When you say "voltage to ground", you mean red probe on the SMC_LID / trackpad test pad and black probe on ground while in voltage mode (and the macbook has power)?

Not sure if this helps but, when trying with the trackpad disconnected I get the same problem.

There is also this spinning wheel that keeps appearing everywhere during boot

      Thank you!

      EDIT:
Oh and it got stuck on the loading screen when trying to start from internet recovery. I could however hear the voice-over so it was not frozen

Your internet connection may be faulty. Would you have a wired internet adapter that is compatible with the MAC world? Often the ones with the ASIX Ethernet controller are Plug & Play. That is recommended.

If this approach is not working, review:

A good option is to try a bootable DVD from Apple.

Spinning wheel reminds me of what iPhones used to do with crook batteries (tries to shut down due to low battery voltage). Try with a known good battery (and not some eBay knock off purporting to be genuine either).
