ACER NITRO 5,Issues after PCH installation

    ACER NITRO 5 , AN515-55, CORE I5-10300H, GTX 1650
    SN : NHQ7MAA00B117150E63400
    SNID : 11708624634

PCH gets shortcircuited after laptop screen replacement.
After new PCH is installed, laptop takes forever to boot, wifi doesnt work, laptop crashes after minutes, fans on full speed and laptop fans and keyboard light still on after shutdown.
BIOS is flashed and new firmware is installed on it. Only problem now is laptop still crahses after minutes, wifi still doesnt work, and sometimes laptop cant boot saying no bootable device found.

I would also say that the culprit is most likely the ME region not being cleaned. You need to dump the BIOS via a programmer and put a clean ME region into it and transfer all the settings from the old one.

Better said than done though. There are lots of guides how to do it, so do research before doing it.

And did you try cleaning the ME firmware, its essential to do that after changing the PCH. Where did the PCH come from, donor boards or somewhere else

              .

it is funny as I have here more than one laptop with the same issue.
Lenovo legion 7 replaced the intel chipset ( SRJAU ) after cleared ME region still gave a graphic error code 43 as well.

The Asus PCH and bios has Bootguard 5 FVME-5,possibly why it wouldn`t work, i checked a bios in this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...hlight=G532LWS

                        The AN515-55 doesn`t have bootguard enabled, FVME-0 .
