    I have a faut with la-j091p

    I have a faut with la-j091p
plugging adapter i am having 3v alwp and 5v alwp
    i am having +3VALW_PCH
    but not having 1.8v alwp
The signal needed to enable IC PU1801 PCH_PRIM_EN is missing
So tracing the logic the Signal SIO_SLP_SUS# is missing from PCH
So should I consider I have a Faulty PCH ?

To less Infos, to assume anything. Please share voltage and resistance measurements of the various rails and also pictures of the board in questions.

Additionally it is not clear whether basics like whether you're working with a known good dell charger of correct specs and known good RAM are already ruled out. We need more to work with.

At least it doesn't looks like a bad short somewhere at this point.

Help Request for Lenovo L470 - No power
      by nikal
      Hi

this is my first ever message in this forum that I follow for a very long time now and I have used the power of collective knowledge so many times.

I do repairs, not professionally (for the moment) and recently I stuck on a case with a L470 Lenovo laptop.

This laptop came to me with no power issue. I diagnosed it and I found the following.

      1. A shorted and exploded ceramic capacitor (probably on main power rail)
      2. Internally shorted the 3.3 ALWP buck converter
      3. Shorted (drain to source to gate) the first DC-IN mosfet.

      DELL XPS 15 9510 LA-K411P (NVDC ISL9538C) NO BOOT / NO CHARGE
      by reeluff
Device history > Bit of liquid damage, that I cleaned up and sorted out all bad components.

Current state > No Boot. No charge. It negotiates 20v on all USBC ports, and will even PD charge out – so all of the USBC circuit is probably ok. I have 3.3V + 5V ALWP present and stable. PCH has its 3V,1.8V,1V. On the board, PCH,EC,ISL,PD chips are all powered on and active. Power button has 3V, board is being signalled by it but not responding. I have 20V USBC in OK, I have a 12.6V main power rail ok. The battery was undervolt dead, so had to manually charge each cell individually...

Lenovo thinkpad E590 - NM - B911 board - Not turning on USB C damage
      by worldofskin
Hi guys hope you are having a great day, this Lenovo came to the shop with a demolished usb c connector becouse the laptop has fallen on ground. Especially on the usb c connector. after replacing it i measured a 5ohm or lower resistance to ground on some pins around usb C connector on the ESD protecting diodes. On the RTS5455 pin 18 that is TYPEC_RXP2 had 5ohms to ground. After taking the ic off all the shorts were gone other than USB20_P2_CON and USB20_N2_CON with 3ohms. Those lines go to the PCH = CPU if i am not mistaken. i tried to measure other usb 2 lines and they are in the 3ohm realm....

Problems extracting from Dell Bios Update.Inspiron 3793
      by Caimano
I am trying to repair a Dell Inspiron 3793 which has problems with start up, no battery charging and fan not running. I believe the Bios (probably the EC Region) is corrupted.
      The board is FDI45-LAJ091P REV 1.0 A00
      Processor i7 1065G7 with GPU
This MB has 2 Bios Chips (one 8MB and one 16MB chip).
I am trying to reload a new Bios with clean ME region, new main region and new EC region.
I attach the dumps of the 2 chips.
I successfully used ME analyzer to identify ME, PCH and PMC versions and used Flash Image Tool to install ME, PCH and PMC cleaned regions....
