I think the resistance readings are not correct.

What is the meter scale used for these measurements?

If you read '1' or 'OL' on the meter then you must switch to a higher scale.

Or is your meter auto ranging? Post a picture of the meter.

Start with the lowest resistance scale on the meter and confirm again the resistance values. Each reading cannot be exactly 1 Mohm.
