Hello all,
I have a XPS 9360 from a family member, that suddenly won't turn on anymore.
When plugged in, the white light on the front comes on, and then goes out after a couple second. Power button does nothing, and no light comes on when pressing it. Screen is black.
I removed the battery, and CMOS battery, and when I plug it in, the CPU becomes hot, the front light blinks orange three times, and white once (CMOS battery error). The fan shortly comes on and the front light stays orange, and then the machine turns off, all while the screen is still black. Power button does nothing. CMOS battery is at 3V and tried a new 3V battery, but still nothing. The display comes on when I hold down D on the keyboard (display test), but I can't make it boot to bios.
No shorts on the board as I can find.
Symptoms seem like the same as in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oo7Ssf5X7qk
However they do no show how they fix it, other than removing the CMOS battery.
