    hp x360 soldered ram upgrade

Hello group, I have a customer that would like to upgrade the ram of a hp x360, 13t-ae000 from 8GB to maximum it can take. I do not have the laptop to get the part numbers of the chips and I believe the board number to be DA0X33MBAF0 (from searching online). I have read that changing the ram chips also requires changing a controller ic. My questions for now are
    1. is this very risky? (I'm comfortable with replacing BGA)
    2. what is the maximum ram?
    3. is there a controller chip to replace also?

Yes, its risky. After changing ram chips, you need to look into straps config also and some changes has to be done. Without schematics, no one can say with certainity.

Thanks for the advice. I'll do some more research and if I do attempt it, I'll post findings here.

I have done the ram upgrade.
The origin mem IC type is SKhynix H9CCNNNBJTAL*4. I buy the SKhynix H9CCNNNCLGALAR-NVD*4. And changed the chip. After that, change 3 resistors beside CPU. detail as the attachment.
The MB support max ram 16G. I upgraded it from 8G to 16G.

        For now, IT works well.

I got the x360 13-w031ng model and its also max 16GB possible. Are the resistors mentioned above the same for this model? if not where to find the schematics to find out the resistors to change?

And alternative: Can I still try to replace those 3 resistors above. if theyre wrong. what would happen in worse case?
