    getting 5V on a HP ENVY 17-3080ez laptop case

    Guys I tried to measure something and out of the curiousity I discovered this:

    I suppose this ain't okay,and what could cause this?

    I'm a neebie in electronics.
    Have multimeter.
    I doubt that my laptop is properly grounded.
    How do I check that,red lead to what and black to what?

    I've set the red lead to USB port or micro sd card reader and black is in the air and I'm getting 5 V of AC reporting by multimeter.
