Acer E5-771g Black screen

Hello
I have here A Acer Laptop e5-771g mainboard DA0ZYWMB6E0 REV:E
Dual Graphic UMA and Gefoorce gt840m
The problem is when powering it on i can hear he is trying to Boot from DvD Rom and fan is Spinning for 3 seconds then it stopp forever and screen is Black.

I have tryed to flash bios (All files i Founded on internet) but the problem is Same.

I found a messure of 4 Ohm on pl7 and pl8 near the nvidia graphic chip and i have remooved the graphich chip but same problem (Black screen)

Voltage on


pl6=0V without nvidia gpu chip
pl7 and pl8=0.43v without GPU chip
pl9=1.04v
pl10=1.47v
pl11=1.32v
pl12=1.5v
pl13=2.73v
pl14=3.32v
pl15=5.03v

Has someone a idea how to fix this ,Thanks for any Help

After soldering new gpu chip the coils became
pl6=1.32v
Pl7 and pl8 =0.88v

but same problem black screen

The Bios Chip 25Q64FVSIQ has follow Voltages

Pin1-3,30V
PIN2-3,28V
PIN3-3,30V
PIN4-GND
PIN5-0V
PIN6-0V
PIN7-3,30V
PIN8-3,30V

PIN5 and PIN6 is missing Voltage but i can not find from where

Do you have dc supply(bench psu)?? If yes measure consumption after pressing power button
01.With ram
02.Without ram

If you dont have a dc supply, check DRAMRST# present or not and if present what's the voltage. If ram used is DDR3, then you can measure it on pin30 of ram slot.

DRAMRST# on pin 30 is about 119mV. Bro

Does your schematic reference the same SPI Flash as attached ?

Yes bro spi placed on same place (U32) 8mb flash and resistor present and ok on r507 14ohm.

only difference is that my chip is 25Q64FVSIQ.

i have tryed all online availible dumps but same problem.

W25Q64FW is 1.8V bios chip
W25Q64FV is 3.3V bios chip

So not compatible. Change the bios chip as specified in diagram. You may need a 1.8V adapter to program bios chip.

Too early to jump to any conclusion. DRAMRST# will be pulled low if bios is corrupt(Though there are many many other reasons). Since your bios chip is not as per specs, you wont get dramrst#.

W25Q64FW is 1.8V bios chip
W25Q64FV is 3.3V bios chip

So not compatible. Change the bios chip as specified in diagram. You may need a 1.8V adapter to program bios chip.

mine is W25Q64FVSIQ =3.3V and it looks like this chip Set by Factory on this board (No new soldering traces on it) i think your Schematic is from Rev 3A board and mine is Rev E

i will try to replace the Spi with identic new one may be the bios chip is faulty.

I think the problem is missing voltage on pin 5 and pin 6 from spi chip

Hello, i am facing with same problem, all voltages are present but no display.
The Notebook is taking 0,215A when is on.

Is it possible to get from you the schematic rev E , and also the bios dumps that you already tried?

DRAMRST# is also missing in my fall , i get only 0,1V.
U12 is also ok .
What can be the reason of this low voltage (suspecting 1,5V?), because i can not find any other references...

pin 105 PCH_SPI_CLK_EC appear 2.75v for 1 second then drop to 0v
pin 101 SPI_CS0#_UR_M 3.30v stable
pin 102 PCH_SPI_SI_EC appear 3.02v for 1 second then drop to 0v

on SPI ENABLE pins
pin 100 S5_ON 3.3v stable
pin 106 ME_WR# 0v

the problem is, that i don't have that programmer .
On the bios chip 3.3V is on all pins present.
