    Re: Lenovo T480s completely dead

Desoldered them both, 5Ω remained on their common side, the other side received hi resistance.
    Next? PR101?

        Re: Lenovo T480s completely dead

Which one of these two is the PR101?
I suspect is the large black SMD labelled as R010?

Ok, desolder the PR101 and the resistance on side of PQ101 is high, the other side remained on 7Ω.

Which side remained low resistance? Inject 1V and 500mA into the low ohm side and look for heat, increase voltage slowly, also current until you find the heat source.

                Re: Lenovo T480s completely dead

Not the side that is directly connected to PQ101, the other remained low.
Injection with PR101 removed or soldered?

No point in putting it back

Ok, so i apply voltage with red probe (+) on the side of PR101 with low resistance and the black (-) on GND?
I know but just to confirm.

                        Re: Lenovo T480s completely dead

Ok i found the guilty, the capacitor on the picture is shorted.
Desolder it and the resistance on rail returned to several MΩ
Now should i replace it or not?

You can test without it, but should be replaced to be sure.

Already assemble it and working fine with one capacitor. All good, thank you very much, really appreciated!

It will probably work fine without it, but if you do it as service for client it is best to replace it. As part of professional ethics.
                              Good job!

I will probably do, what is the value of it?

You have a boardview at the end of schematic, its PC6.
