Re: XPS 15 9570 will not charge but battery works
Which mosfets were used for the replacements? These must be P-channel mosfets so the GATE voltage must be LOWER than the voltage being passed between source / gate.
Respectively to LOWER the voltage on the gate pin, the resistor based voltage divider muset be enabled by turning ON the mosfet that is south of the gate pins. So PQ204 & PQ205 must be ON to create the voltage divider that will then offer a lower voltage onto gate pins # 4 of each mosfet.
Then these DCin mosfets will enable.
What is the voltage to ground on pin #4 (Gate) of each of these mosfets with the power adapter connected?
Remove all power -> meter in resistance mode.
Check the resistance of each mosfet to confirm that they are ok.
Source (1-2-3) & Drain (5-6-7-8)
Source (1-2-3) & gate (4)
Gate (4) & Drain (5-6-7-8)
