Re: Acer Swift 3 SF314-51 no power up -shorted inductors

did you note the readings? then post them please... this is of course annoying, because now more damage is possible. whatsoever, replacement can be bought here https://www.ebay.de/itm/171471523668...oAAOSwPe1UIR3R (check country and compare ics(!), tps51225c is the search term)
    or here https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32895...38623193%22%7D

desolder ic and check for shorts and other damage. good luck!

Here are the readings. I see that before the short the readings are not good. is it any chance that power regulator was damaged from the begining? i will desolder the ic and i ll check for shorts.

well well, all important signals seem to be there... +3va for instance, so pwr_sw# should have been on 3.3 v. some readings look weird maybe, but could be normal in this case. i doubt that something was wrong with this ic. next step would have been to follow the +3 va trace to the keyboard connector and check the ITE chip. i'm a bit uncertain, whether this was a simple cmos error or possibly measurement errors. either way, please order the chip and then let us know when it arrives. this kind of soldering is not trivial for beginners! optical magnification and soldering skills are actually prerequisites for the successful process. see you around

Compare the ic pinout and functions with the upgraded version from TI. Their website notes this part as a valid replacement for the TPS51225C.

It is in stock at Arrow:

Well i desoldered ic and we dont have any shorts. Ι will order the ic from arrow. If i am not wrong the pin 27 is going to a 10k and then +3VA. if i measure right the R3142 is 0.2 ohms. this could cause a problem?

for save measurement, desolder the resistor and measure again
