    Dell E6540 mb shortcircuit.

    Hello!
    I received a E6540 with shortcircuit in board (the charger goes off when i connect it), i see 2 SMD caps shorted next to PU700, PC739 & PC740, not sure if it's something though.

      Charger going off most likely indicates a short circuit on the main 19V rail itself. If you suspect it might be the caps you mentioned, remove them and measure resistance to ground on its pad. (measure resistance before removing any component and after removing and only reapply power if the short is gone)

          Indeed, one of them was shorted. Now short is gone.
