Dell Inspiron 13 7306 lcd connector

Working on this machine which has a few issues including a short in the lcd connector. Anyone where I can get a replacement? Its 30 pin and about 2cm in length. All the ones I've seen are macbook ones-must be using the wrong search term in Google. Thanks

It looks like an ipex 30 pin LCD display connector. Somewhere on this forum I posted a list of compatible connectors (if it is the same as yours) - you can buy these from Digikey.

Be sure to check the edge - to - edge size of the connector and the pin pitch for each connector pin.

Thanks for the prompt answer - I think I'll go with Aliexpress and see what turns up. I was looking for a gold body connector like you get in the macbooks! The lcd/lvds cable is not a flat ribbon cable - its like a macbook. Will that fit into the connector?

The one from Digikey is in a class of its own. Very well built but then again you are paying a much higher cost and is the original that others are cloning. Hope it works out for you.

The macbook ones are too small, the pitch is different. I think I need something like this but finding it will be like a needle in a haystack

From what I know...

pitch on the macbook LVDS 30 pin connectors = 0.5mm

pitch on the iMAC LVDS 30 pin connectors = 1.0mm

What is the edge to edge dimension in mm of your connector?

The connector on your Dell sure looks to be the same as the Macbook connectors @ 0.5mm pitch.

With 0.5mm pin pitch, the 30 contacts will be 15mm edge-to-edge.

Suggest for you to order the macbook 30 pin connector and before removing the original, overlay the two connectors to confirm one last time.

Sure looks the same as the macbook connector.

Do watch the videos on youtube on how to replace this component. Lots of flux.

I have a good magnet ! Experience of buying connectors from Ali and knowing their search quirks (sometimes). 30p lvds 0.5mm connector
