5 blinks = system board error.

see the posted post codes chart.

What is the history of this logic board? Any liquid spills ?

Just decided one day to start with this 5 blinks code ?

Be sure that this is not a thermal issue. Clean vents, check and replace with good heatsink paste.

            1) Power down. Remove the adapter and battery.

            2) Meter in resistance mode (200 ohms scale).

Check the resistance to ground for each of these 2 coils that are missing the voltages.

What is the resistance for each coil ?

            3) Post clear pictures of each coil and local mosfets and switching power supply IC. Post the markings on each mosfet and IC that is linked to each coil.

                    Re: elitebook 820 G3

Is the mosfet driver linked to Q66310 & Q66320 in the shared photo?

Are the measured voltages with a connected battery?

If not, measure again with the battery to see if the following lines change their values (with battery):

                    DRVL2:0v
                    SW2:0v
                    DRVH2:0v
                    DRVL1:0v
                    SW1:0v

Check to see if the mosfets are shorted.

                        Remove all power and battery.

Check the resistance between source and drain for each of the above mosfets.

Repeat measurements for source & gate; then drain and gate for each.

There is dedicated subforum for bios requests.
