HP mini 210 (DANM6AMB6F0 REV:F ) No display after cleaning

Hey guys, need help figuring out this issue.

I received a HP mini 210 (DANM6AMB6F0 REV:F ) with no display issue. After troubleshooting, issue was a bad chipset and some corrosion here and there. After replacing the chipset and cleaning corrosion, laptop boots fine with display.

So I cleaned the board in an alcohol bath (>95% IPA) to remove flux residue, dried it on a hot plate at 60C for a few minutes and allow the board to naturally cooldown like I always do.

However, the board does not display anymore, no HDD activity either and I have no idea why. All voltage rails are present and stable. I tried known good RAM and BIOS just in case it got corrupted but no luck either. I also checked the display connector for residue/broken tracks/pin and display cable connection etc.

Current draw is 7-8mA on standby and 420 - 500mA when running.

Edit: external display does not work either.

Any idea? Anything I am missing?

Consumption with ram/without ram?? I doubt system is not taking ram. Otherwise you are experinced enough to tackle this.I'll not repeat usual stuff like HWPG/All_SYS_PWR_GD to check as i beleive u must have checked them. Observe carefully for any knocked down resistor/caps during cleaning.

Sorry, forgot to include the with and without RAM reading in initial post. Yes, it was not detecting RAM but issue was not in RAM section.

I did check for knocked down components but couldn't find any initially. That was my mistake since I concentrated mostly on areas I worked on instead of the whole board. I went back and rechecked the whole board and well....I found the bastard (a tiny inductor).

It was a lucky find also since it was barely holding on to the board (one side had already detached)and was in an area I didn't work on.

These thing can be so frustrating at times

      Thank you for your input.

Nice to know you resolved it. It could be anything under the sky when it comes to laptop fault. We all have experienced weird things happening to laptop motherboards.
