    Bosch KTS 670

    Hello,

    I have a Bosch KTS 670 with 3rd gen mainboard and OS Windows XP embedded.
    However I want to ask if there is any chance to get a Windows 7 running on this machine. To install it in normal way isn't possible because of the error "BIOS is not ACPI compliant". If you look on youtube you can find a video with a KTS 670 running Win7 but there is no description how to do that.
    I think you need a modified bios that support ACPI but I couldn't find a binary that is working. Can anybody help with that? I can provide an image of the original bios or additional information of the device if needed.

      Hi, I would like to share with you small modification to your Bosch tool 12V and 18V chargers.

      You can use it for almost all Bosch chargers what I have seen, for example part numbers GAL 18V-20, GAL 18V-40, GAL 1880, GAL 18V-160, AL 1820, AL1115CV, AL1130CV.

      Bosch (today also other brands using the same system like Wurth, Fein) does not care if you destroy your batteries, because they can sell you new ones. So the marketing is telling you only about speed of the charging, so you will not wait for your batteries to charge too long. Me as a customer want the tools and batteries...

      Bosch Nexxt 500 dryer blinking start button - no start fix

      My Bosch NEXXT 500 dryer quit today, press start nothing happens and the start button just keeps blinking. Not cool. Reset the dryer, same thing.
      Even so the buttons feel good, my problem was the start button smd tactile switch on the PCB. Cleaned the switch with alcohol followed with Deoxit and the sucker runs like a champ again.

      Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

      I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

      I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....

      Yes, you read that right, the bug that HP/Compaq never fixed is finally no more, 16 years later. You probably don't care but here it is anyway.

      Bug

      Basically the bug is as follow: you want to use Linux on this machine, but it doesn't power off when you shut it down, you cannot put it to sleep, nouveau driver for NVidia GPUs doesn't load, etc…
      At boot, you may be greeted by the following message:

      If ACPI not good the Bios missing information from SMbus like FAN speed Voltages etc
