why i cannot read 37kHz clock on any board with Hantek 2x20MHz

    why i cannot read 37kHz clock on any board with Hantek 2x20MHz

    I try to make check if i have 37kHz on any board. have cheap Instrustar 2x20MHz

    I cannot measure that if i have signal or not.

    When i run online generator from audio card it can measure its 20khz without problem. So how to measure if this frequency is ok ?

    Maybe using probes x1 instead of x10?

      have two 60MHz probes with switching 1x/10x

        If the probe is at x10 position then it should work.

          Are you sure that there is a 37Khz signal from the X-tal ?
          And what is the voltage of the 37Khz ?

          What is the sensitivity of your oscilloscope input ? Microvolts or millivolts ?
          Are you measuring on a test point on the motherboard ?

            thats why i need picture of this clock on scope to know how it looks when it is ok

                @ktmmotocross ,

                If you have a dmm that also can measure frequency , you can at least check
                if you have some signal from the X-tal.

                I tried today with my dmm - and it gave me a reading of about 21 Khz.
                So , I know that there is a fequency coming out.I don't know what the real frequency must be.

                I didn't measure how much volt it is , though.

                    Ground probe on GND and signal measured on capacitor near crystal, but it should not make any difference, they are close to each other. You are adding extra capacity to the circuit with the probe but it should not affect the measurement at 32KHz, even with x1 probe. Eevblog has good video on x1/x10 probe differences.
