Hello guys, I just got my hands on Asus F556U (x556uv motherboard), that does one weird thing. On first start it does show asus logo, starts booting and then reboots, then it shows boot logo again and after a while it crashes with blue screen that says "WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR". Also it does not boot into linux.
I got it from guy who brought it to larger repair store, that told him there is probably an issue with RTC or DMA.
Any ideas where to look or what to fix?
I tried to gently reheat the ITE chip and it seemed to work for about a 2-3 hours (managed to reinstall windows and play some games) before returning to it's dead state.
Right now I guess there might be an issue with capacitor [that got touched by heat while I was reheating the ITE chip and started to work again for a while but eventually died] , but maybe it is something else.
Also there is no CMOS battery at all on this board.
