T440s bricked components near bios missing after soic8 clip sprung off

Hi

Got an issue with a Lenovo T440s that does not boot after using the Leno Patcher from

I got to the last stage of applying the original bios and the soic8 clip sprung off knocking off two components that i cannot find on board or around. The laptop does not get to the boot logo, but on powering I get a green power on light which blinks occasionally the fan spins and then stops. I have downloaded the schematics for this board and looks like the D12 (RB520CS-30GT2RA_VMN2-2) and R681 (33_0201_5%) have been lost near bios chip. Will these components cause the power on issues? I am a novice at this but willing to try to fix it. I flashed the bios with the original backup but still experience the same issue. Any help would be really appreciated.

D12 is a diode on the 3v line for the bios. The bios chip isn't getting power.

Thanks for the quick reply, where is the best place to get one of these in the uk, will I also need the other component. Would i need the exact referenced diode or an alternative will do?

Make a Better Pic from above to Check where the Rail of the Resistor is going. With the First Pic Nobody can Help you.

I dont have a digital microscope at the moment so took some shots with my mobile hopefully they are ok

Has the Pointed Resistor at Pin 5 a Resistance of 33 Ohms beetween both Pads? Check with Multimeter.

If Yes, you're looking for a 33 Ohms Resistor at Pin 6 too.

Thanks for your reply. I got 33 ohms at pin 5, it wasn't reading easily like the others had to move the probes about not sure if it faulty but did get 33 ohms
twice when the multimeter settled, so will get a 33 ohms at pin 6. Can I use a standard resistor or will I have to get a smd resistor those pads? Also where is the best place to get these components.

You need obviously an SMD Resistor, but nothing Special. The Size ist 0201, normally 1/20w. You can buy it e.g. from eBay

Do I have to get the same D12 diode (RB520CS-30GT2RA_VMN2-2) or will an equivalent do, I cannot seem to find the exact component have located these on ebay RB520CS-30T2RA.

Hi managed to get the missing components onto the board with great difficulty, ended up buying a faulty board from ebay and using it as the donor for the components. I unfortunately still have an issue of black screen, green led which blinks cyclically and the fan spins on and off, any ideas what could be wrong?

I have reflashed the bios several times even with the chip of the board.
Checked the voltage at d12 with probe on ground, fluctuates to 1.2v.

Any tips would be welcomed, I am no expert.
