Asus VivoBook E12 E203NA is dead.

If I connect a charger, must a laptop start if battery is flat and charging circuit is damaged? Or working charging circuit is necessary for a laptop to start?

It depends of the construction of the laptop. If the battery is faulty or shorted it can the laptop prevent from powering up and certainly when the main powerr aim goes via the battery powerrail.

      Thanks for the reply.
So if I disconnect battery, connect power supply, should the laptop start( if the charging circuit is faulty)?

          Thanks for your reply.
I found out that 3.3V is present( on power button I can measure it) but 1.8V (on BIOS chip i) s missing.
Can anyone give me a clue how to find out a chip that is responsible for supplying that 1.8V?
I did not find a schematic for that Asus VivoBook E12 E203NA.

Voltage on bios chip will appear after power switch is pressed.
