Re: I cannot erase the whole bios chip with AsProgrammer
Hi guys, got a SOLUTION!!!
Problems with ERASING and VERIFICATION are caused by a badly made VOLTAGE on the CH341A - Bios chips usually run 3.3V. And it's alright with CH341A BUT the DATA LANES are fed by 5V. That's the reason the why you can't erase your chip, because of incorrect communication between your chip and the CH341A chip.
I've spent the whole weekend on trying to flash my Bios Chip via this programmer device. There are some TUTORIALS on the Internet how to FIX the Voltage for 3.3V by SOLDERING.
I don't have things for soldering. So I started thinking how to decrease voltage from my usb port from 5V to about 3V by connecting many hardware or something to the 1 USB Port. I've connected 1 USB Hub on this hub 1 usb lamp and a PS4 gamepad. Make a usb cable's length as long as possible. To this hub I had plugged the other hub and into this hub my CH341A. And BAAAM!!! After trying erasing, there was written: CHIPS ARE BLANK!
You just have to try connecting different things and longering usb cables for overloading the usb port and trying erasing your chip. Erasing has to take several seconds ( not 0:00:00 ). I think I have some problems with as programmer, so then I did it via CH341A PROGRAMMER v1.18. You will also need installing 2 drivers right from their chinese website ( don't be scared, it's not HTTPS ). Trust me, those 2 files are 100% clean and ok:
1. CH341PAR.EXE - this is a CH341WDM.INF device driver ( 06/05/2021 )
http://www.wch.cn/downloads/CH341PAR_EXE.html
2. CH341SER.EXE - this is a CH341SER.INF device driver ( 01/18/2022 )
http://www.wch.cn/downloads/CH341SER_EXE.html
I have done it successfully on WIN 8.1 on an old laptop and then on WIN 10 on my pc without any problems as well.
Hope it will help somebody!
