I got a 2012 MBP non retina over here with a defective GPU. So what i did is almost the same as on the 2011 models and disabled the dedicate GPU, but the display stays black.
I entered the following in the terminal:
sudo nvram boot-args=”nv_disable=1″
and
sudo nvram fa4ce28d-b62f-4c99-9cc3-6815686e30f9:gpu-power-prefs=%01%00%00%00
and removed a Resistor for powering the U8900. I did this successfully on another 2012 MBP and documented this here: https://www.die-oswalds.de/blog/2019...r-grafikkarte/
But this one stays black. The MBP turns on and i can remotely to this one and also use an external GPU, both works. But the Display just wont turn on. When i on the device i can see the dedicated GPU is turned off, i only see the inter from the CPU. What could i do now?
