    Packard Bell P7YE0 Diode request

Hi I been given a laptop with a fault on the on off button. The motherboard is LA6911p Rev:1 All seems to check out apart from the fact there is a Diode with a large bulge on it on a small board attached to the start button board. I attach a picture, does anyone know where I can obtain one?

PS laptop works fine when connector on motherboard is shorted.

    Thanks in advance

Hi, I believe the diode to be shorted. The person who's laptop it was replaced a keyboard and didn't pay attention to the connector the pwr button came out of. the fitted it upside down in the correct one (This has been confirmed) and shorted the diode. I can see the markings on the diode but haven't anything like it. Would it be OK to just remove it as sometimes is the case in certain circuits. I attach more photos.
      Thank you

PS the diode is on the end of the smaller sub board
