Asus Rog GL502VT

Asus rog gl502vt, nvidia gtx970m error on driver, I replaced the video bios with a dump on the net (I have checked it with MaxwellBiosTweaker_1.36 ) , the error is solved but appeared BSOD video scheduler internal error, I replaced the video ram chips and it seemed to work fine but the BSOD has returned. The strange thing is that I have had gaming sessions of many hours without problem, without artifacts. I'm not sure the video chip has problems. Unfortunately it is very difficult to find other vbios, there are dumps on techinfxxxxxno but I don't have the permissions to download them and I don't want to pay a monthly subscription. I did a clean install of win10. With the nvidia card disabled there are no errors. Temperatures ok. Any idea what to check? Does anyone have a vbios to post? Thanks

Yes, it is a problem with the gpu. I had this issue with a water damaged board where there was still junk under the chip. Problem was gone after cleaning it properly. It was very sporadic and could happen after hours or within minutes.

It was a GT640M back then. Probably not your issue but im just sharing my experience here

I reballed them but the problem was still there until i cleaned it properly.

did you clean the GPU chip by using an Ultrasonic cleaner or by reballing the chip?

did you clean the GPU chip by using an Ultrasonic cleaner or by reballing the chip?

I soaked it in alcohol and heated it to 100C to boil the alcohol and loose up the dirt underneath it. Then I put it inside an ultrasonic cleaner.

The chip is most likely ok. Reballing should be enough even though it is a pain.
