Hi all, working on a Apple MacBook Air A1466 (Logic board 802-00165-A). No chime or image??? Where checked the voltages on the main logic board, nearly all are present, 3.3, 5.0, 8.6, 1.6 for ram & CPU Core all present, ALL_SYS_PWRGD & CPU_VCCST_PWRGD also present & even get a normal fan spin. All voltages on the SPI_ROM are present. I even replaced the rom with a known good one but still no image or chime. The LCD backlight voltages even are normal. Can anyone help me in this? Am I missing any voltages yet to be checked. Thanks in advance.

Re: Apple MacBook Air 820-00165-A no image
Original problem was liquid spill & no ALL_SYS_PWRGD & CPU_VCCST_PWRGD voltages & no fan spin. Cleaned & replaced all the corroded parts, then all started to work but no image or charm after that.. anyway I will do . PRAM reset as "piernov" tell me to do so & then back to you guys again.Comment

Re: Apple MacBook Air 820-00165-A no image
I measured each & every single S0 rail & all seem to be present. No rail missing, have no idea what's going on. Think the video chip maybe faulty??? Is there any way to test whether its working or not without an oscilloscope???Comment

by samstownHello,
This special tool from Apple is used to recover data from Macbook A1706. I've been using it for a while but it stops working. When connecting Thunderbolt 3 between the tool and working Macbook, Macbook should prompt "new device detected, allow or not"... but it doesn't.
Has anyone ever experience this ? It's not a cabling or power supply issue, some IC have stopped working but not sure which one. Probably the one that manager thunderbolt 3
Thanks

by baglaivladHi everyone. Just a reminder I am not a professional repair technician, fixing Apple electronics is my hobby.
Recently got my hands on MacBook Pro A2289 with interesting behavior. Pristine condition, no water damage, no visual issues whatsoever. It has no image, no CapsLock, no life except the fan is spinning. But it is able to boot into DFU and recognized by another MacBook. I tried to revive and restore the laptop, but the process ends when the MacBook usually should show an Apple logo with a progress bar. I assume the main power lines and T2 are working. It seems like the Intel... -
by arahbanHello Gentlemen,
I am working on an apple MacBook A2442 board pn 820-02098-A with a visible short on the PMIC U7700 MVK-PLUS as per the schematics
I have a donner board from apple macbook pro m1 A2338 PN 820-02020 and I saw that the PMIC U8100 TMLT46B0-JPE could be a possible replacement for the U7700
Can you please help me confirm if the U7700 can be replaced with U8100 ?
APL1098 is it the same as APL1096
Thank you very much in advanced

by a_p3rsonHi there,
I'm looking for anyone who might have information on Apple's embedded Apple Watch charging daughterboard, ID 820-02601. This is currently used by Anker in their Apple Watch charging products, but likely by other Apple partner brands as well.
You can see the board referenced in ChargerLab's teardown of the Anker Y1811 3-in-1 MagSafe cube - they discuss the "Apple Watch wireless charging circuit" about 2/3rds down the page. It's not pictured, but the board ID reads 820-02601-A, which sure sounds like Apple.
This daughterboard uses an interesting...-

by mferna14Hi Dear Friend., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A2338 820-02773-A. The history was that the AON Rail on the Trackpad connector JT400 was burnt. After I removed the burnt connector, I tested with the meter & no shorts. Connected the USB C power & all booted fine, no problems at all. I soldered a New TP connector put in the old trackpad with a brand new Flex cable. The laptop beeped in the start but no display. I removed the connector & the display was fine again. USED a known good Trackpad & a Flex cable, even with this still the same problem. I checked the connector whether...
