Asus X54H K54LY Rev. 2.0 left click button always pressed

Hello and Happy New Year! So, I have had this X54H laptop for about a year now, bought it used at a very good price for the performance, but since it arrived it had one issue: the left trackpad button wasn't working. So, now that I had some free time, I decided to open it up and fix it. To my suprise, the buttons were soldered on to the Motherboard. So, I went to a local electronics shop and bought me a similar button to the broken one, the difference being in the fact that the new one is missing a 5th pin. I hoped it would work just fine, but when I went to solder it on the Motherboard, two copper pads from the PCB came off.

Now, I started looking for a schematic, which I actually found and used it to solder some wires to connect the button pins to the needed signal creators. The schematic will be in the attachments below (OpenBoardView can't view the fz file inside the rar, only BoardViewer can, linked below in attachments). I had to replace SW3101, but both the LEFT copper pads came off, so I soldered the LEFT pins from the button together and soldered a copper wire to the chip creating the signal from the bottom side of the board (forgot its name, I'm writing this from my phone and I can't view the schematic right now). The LEFT signal is indeed being triggered, only issue is that it's always triggered, regardless of the physical press. Why is this and how can I fix this?

    Some possibilities:

    - LEFT shorted to ground pin/pad, nearby trace, or switch body. Visually inspect area.
    - New switch sits too high and is therefore always getting pressed. Listen/feel if it clicks reliably when you press the plastic button with notebook assembled.
    - New button does not have the same pinout as the old one. With switch desoldered, check which pins have continuity with a multimeter. The 2 LEFT pins may have continuity. The 2 ground pins may have continuity. But, no LEFT pin should have continuity to any ground pin unless you are pressing the switch.

I have already inspected the first two possibilities you gave me, but to no avail. The copper wire was touching a ground pad, but I rerouted it and now there is nothing to touch. The button is not always pressed, I took care of that from the beggining. The only option (and very interesting I might add) is the last one, which I didn't know could be possible, and will give that one a try later today. Will post back when I test that button.

The pins were placed in a different way and now it should be working. But I can't test, as I have bumped into yet another issue: a pin fell off the flex cable for the power button and now the laptop won't power on. I'll go looking for one tomorrow, but before that is happening, if any of you know where I'll be most likely to find one, please advise: the cable is a 60V-VW1.

Well, I did find some cables, but they were a bit bigger in width than I needed so I had to cut them. But, while doing so, I either ended up cutting them wrong, either their pins fell right off in my hand. So, I'm selling the laptop on parts, it's my best shot right now. I'll get some money and buy me a serious laptop, not pieces of junk. However, it was nice working on it and nice seeing the possibilities an electronic component change can give you.

Denon AVR 1908, High pitch noise on Surround back Left channel after long overhaul

            Hello,

I know some might say... just buy another one. Sell it as parts..!

So had this AMP for quite some time. Recently I saw light smoke coming out of the AMP. Had my fire extinguisher close by. Just kidding. Turned immediately all devices off from mains.
Let things cool a bit, and opened up the amp device. I clearly saw on the main board which hosts the 5X amp (5.1), 3 10 ohms 1W resistors had their leads looking black, while the rest of the remaining 2 x 10 ohms were brownish as being installed from factory.

Spent some time downloading the Service...

            Vizio M60-C3 Left Edge problem
            by Pinky Deepak
I have a M60-C3 where the left edge has started showing issues as seen in the picture attached. Along with this, I also noticed some darkening on the left half of the screen which went away after I left the TV unplugged. i initially thought it was the led backlight that was wearing out but looks like something to do w the TCONN board. I searched this forum but couldn't find anyone else seeing this issue. most of them were LH/RH completely gone. any insights or guidance is appreciated.

Here's a video of both the issues: https://youtu.be/hMqc760nB3o

            ASUS X54H laptop no backlight
            by flat-earther
Once upon a time I was casually browsing the World Wide Web with my ASUS X54H laptop which was sitting on my desk, when suddenly the screen turned black!
After several seconds, the screen turned on again! And so I continued to use my laptop as usual.

Some time later, the screen went black again! And it hasn't lit up since.
So here I am on a journey to repair it.

Not being an expert on how to repair, what I have done is searched the internet for help on a laptop screen not working, and I have checked some things.
I found out that with a flashlight...

HH Scott Model A510 Stereo Integrated Amplifier/ Graphic EQ - Blowing fuses in the LEFT speaker channel only. Any Help???
            by Sik_6ty_Sixx
So like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...

Dell Latitude 7410 dead and amber light as long power button is pressed.
            by Andreasbest
            Hello.
I received a bios locked 7410 with 25Q256JVEQ ,i dump the bios, unlocked it and flash it back, since then the laptop has no life signs at all except amber led on for as long the power button is pressed, nothing else.
Fact #1 i was unaware that 25Q256JVEQ is 3.3v and i used a 5v CH341A to program it, not sure if the chip got damaged but since then i can read it and write it normally, doesn't seem dead.
Fact #2 i modded the CH341A to 3.3v, same results with programming though, nothing changed.
Fact #3 i tried hard reset with cmos/main battery disconnected and power...
