PIN04- 0V
PIN05- 0V
PIN06-2.46V
PIN07- 0V
PIN08-3.2V
PIN09-3.2V
PIN10-2.97V
PIN11-2.97V
PIN12-15.6V
PIN13-15.6V
PIN14- 0V
PIN15- 0V
PIN16-6.0V
PIN17-15.3V
PIN18-15.6V
PIN19-15.6V
PIN20-19V

I know that pin 17/18/19v is wrong as pin18 is HIDRV and I'm not getting the requisite voltage and hence gate of Pu4405 is not opening. But i couldnt find it whats wrong.

PU4201 pin4-3v and pu4402 pin4 is 1.7v which is correct.

PQ4201 and PQ4202 Voltages are ok as per schematics.

PR4205 is 33.3 Ohms and i"m getting PSID_EC signal.

PD4401-pin2 is 6v but pin1 remains 15.6v.

I've replaced BQ737 with a known good IC(same bq737) and even replaced PU4405/06 with SI412 but with no change.

I request members here to guide me.

Btw, Repair was attempted on this mb by someone earlier before it came to my bench. Laptop was turning on only if backup battery is removed . Lot of wrong/mismatched components were removed/replaced and now it is showing plugged in charging but actually not charging.

Battery is Dell original and is checked good on another laptop.

For me your file is wistron iris. Very confuse...
Btw, there was la-b843p on refixpro seem fit for you, but have no access to download it.
I afraid the one who attempt to repair make more change lot position of components, even you bro.

Though schematic i have attached is for different platform but the charger is same and it matches perfectly with LA-B843P.

Though the previous guy did a lot of wrong things but i have fixed them all and now the circuit is as it should be. So we can try to fix it.

The only thing to bother is High and Low side charging circuit.

Yes, you was correct. compare it HD image with those schematic seem ALL matched.

Maybe there are components near BATT socket was change value.(page 43)

check shortage or any leakage between the drain and source of pu4201 and pu4402..

Both are ok. Checked them out of circuit as well.

Dear On/OFF, mb matches perfectly with the HD image link you provided though i already downloaded HD imahe from some russian forum and matched it. There is no missing components and all resistors, IC's i checked are found to be ok.

Any ideas guys...

Can you check voltage on each pin of PR4204 and PR4205

Maybe KBC Chips need to re-flash. Since KBC chip is Host for charging circuit. I remember you have SVOD.

kbc here is nuvoton285 which is not programmable.

Can you check voltage on each pin of PR4204 and PR4205

I'll measure and report back within next 2days. My office is under renovation as i'm adding some more equipments and changing the furniture.

Friends, finally problem solved though i could'nt understand the logic. Here is what happened::

01. I got another laptop(same specs, same mobo) for repair. It was dead and i fixed it.

02. I checked display and battery was charging on this laptop.

03.I checked the other battery(for which i started this thread) and it was charging. So battery was good.

04. Now, when i swapped the batteries between these two laptops -both laptops are charging battery. Restored back original batteries to the respective laptops-again one unit not charging.

So though problem solved but i'm still puzzled why the other battery is not charging in one mb but gets charged on the other mb.

I met this problem .I found problem on ID pin's voltage of adaptor .ID pin or other name PSID_EC voltage must be 3.3v. Defective resistor can be 130 ohm.Charge is ok and there is no message on boot

Thats a different matter altogether. In my case psid_ec was ok at 3.3v.

i have same issue
