ASUS H81M-C usb ports and lan port not working

Hi Guys,

I got an ASUS H81M-C that has an issue, none of the usb ports or lan port work. link to the mobo https://www.asus.com/za/Motherboards/H81MC/

I can however use a pci to usb card with no issues, there's also no lights on the lan port when plugging in a lan cable.

Any idea on how i can possibly fix this ?

I suspect its PCh as both lan and usb are controlled by pch but cant say with certainity without checking. Remove the lan chip and see if it makes any difference. Next check all usb circuit. I dont think its to be a bios issue.

Could be 2 separate issue. Check in the OS if the USB controller/hubs are detected, and check if the Ethernet controller is detected.
If they are both detected then for the USB check with front panel headers and check if you have 5V. For the Ethernet check if the Ethernet lines are shorted to ground (either dead Ethernet controller or shorted ESD diodes or shorted filter caps). If not, replace the Ethernet controller first, then the Ethernet port (should have integrated transformer that may be bad).
If the Ethernet controller is not recognized inside the OS, then check its supply voltage, if it's present replace Ethernet controller.
For the USB stuff if 5V is present and none of the ports work (back panel and front panel headers) then most likely PCH issue.
I'd try to flash BIOS as suggested by @cacla, you never know even though it's highly unlikely.

I have flashed it and replaced bios chip with a well working one but no changes
