    Fpt error 26

Usually I use a programmer to read/write bios/me region but
when I have to do a lot of tests this method is slow.
I would therefore like to use the FPT intel tool which allows you to do the same things.
The problem is with error 26, "the host cpu does not have access to the target flash area ..."
Has anyone solved this problem without having to do a "Flash Descriptor Security Override Strap"?
I do not understand how to implement this method https://watchmysys.com/blog/2017/02/...ware-intel-me/
    Other doc:
    https://code.coreboot.org/svn/flashr...ries_intel.txt
I can only read the bios region, not me.

Sharp 80” long short flash backlight error - Help
    by Superbee_dad
    Hello Sharp TV experts
Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

    > I checked voltages on the power supply board and they all check out .. including 3.28 volts at the error pin.
    > There is power to the cpu and T-CONN and no faults found there. The cpu has a flashing...

HP EliteBook 850 G8 - Error code / Caps Lock permanently on and blinks twice every 6 seconds
    by Curtissimo
    Hi everyone.

    I have a HP Elitebook 850 G8.
    Serial: 5CG2324XM0
    ProdID 6L8D5EC#ABA
It has a Winbond W25Q256JVEN Chip.

I need to remove BIOS Password.

I made a dump with an CHA341A programmer and NeoProgrammer 2.2.0.10.

    Attached my dump.

I also used the HP Unlocker tool to create an unlocked file (I followed the guidelines)

I also downloaded latest HP BIOS Update (SP158137) which includes 3 .bin files. I found the Number T76 in my original dump, so I used: T76_01210000.bin

    What I did:...

HP Mini 800 G5 - Transfer identity & WinLic between two mainboards
    by wshadow
    Hi,

I got two HP Mini 800 G5 machines, both 65W mainboards (have all 12 FETs populated on the CPU power rail).

One board is always throwing errors in MemTest86, no matter which known good CPU/RAM combo installed. Board is fried. Period. Will be scrapped.
The defective board contains a Win10Pro license in BIOS.

The other board is working perfectly fine, but only includes a FreeDOS "license".
I want to transfer the Win10Pro license from the fried board to the working one. If that includes transferring S/N etc, I'm fine with that, will...

    Philips 60PFL8708S/12 - QFU1.2E LA - Error code 53
    by Maalobs
    Hi,

I have a 2014 vintage Philips 60PFL8708S/12 that suddenly died in the middle of the kids watching a show.

The relevant service manual for the chassis is available here.
The TV no longer powers on, and leaving it powered on for a few minutes results in the layer-1 error with 2 blinks.
When I short the SDM to ground I get the layer-2 error code 53.

The inside of the TV has no damaged components and no swollen capacitors.
In SDM-mode when all the power rails are left on despite entering the protection mode, I tracked down and measured...
