There are two versions of this motherboard , WISTRON KARIA DIScret & WISTRON KARIA UMA .

IF your motherboard is P 40/45 north bridge, then you need to change it to G45 ...
Find the scheme WISTRON KARIA DISCRETE and in the search for PDF VIEWER write the UMA

The BIOS also needs to be changed

What is the reason to change dis to uma on so old laptop? As elekto-nik wrote, you need to change NB and a lot of other parts to do it working.
It is much easier fix problem on gpu, if you have some.
