    Weird Problem with Zenbook UX31la

    Hello,

I have the below strange problem with Zenbook UX31LA :

-If the battery is connected, The laptop boot up using the battery mode regardless if the AC charger is being plugged in or off.

-The laptop could power up using the AC charger if the battery is disconnected,

The only way to let them both work together is to follow the below sequence :

    1- Disconnecting the battery.
2-Booting up using the AC charger.
3-While the laptop is working, connecting the battery again (I know this is unsafe but this is the only way)

I have updated the BIOS , but the problem hasn't been solved.

    Please Advice

    Thanks in advance

Sorry for the dumb question as I am a newbie in this field, which is the better way to test the MOSFET:
          - check if there is a shortage between the MOSFET's legs. Also between MOSFET's leg and the ground.
          - while the laptop power on, check the input and output on the MOSFETS' leg 19v

are the above steps are the correct procedure, Thanks

                Hello again

I have checked the mosfet today with multi-meter and there is a shortage in the mosfet between the drain and the source . How could I purchase a substitute item.

                Thanks in advance

Do you have a schematics? If yes then read value for that fet, or use a magifierband read the text from mosfet

ASUS X54H laptop thinks it's always charging even with charger unplugged
                      by flat-earther
The charging indicator light on my ASUS X54H laptop is always on even when the charger is disconnected.

Windows also shows ''Plugged in'' when charger is not connected.

This problem started year ago gradually, when unplugging the charger the charging light took several seconds to disappear, then minutes, and now almost always on even when unplugged for an entire day.
Strangely, before sometimes immediately when plugging in the charger the charging light went away, and later came back with it connected.
If I let battery run out and say it has 3% Windows will...

Nitro rx580 very weird problem, VCORE and EN
                      by chaos-theory
                      Hello!
I have this very weird problem, I got this rx580 nitro saphire and the fans don't even spin but the saphire logo is lit.
All voltage rails are present except for VCORE at the coils, then I started checking NCP81022 and it has voltage but vdd pwrgd is missing, enable EN is missing it shows 2.5ohm, everything seems fine, i tried checking the back of the card, to see where the enable pin goes, i dont have a schematic so i started touching randomly until i measured a resistor on the back and the fans started spinning, now I was amazed like what is wrong here? So I thought it's a...

                      Laptop Question
                      Hello,
I'm working on a Lenovo T460 that has been having trouble charging as of late. Its worked well since I've owned it for a few years. When I went to use it the other day it was dead and wouldn't turn on (was sitting on an Anker 65W GaN charger). After some fiddling with the charger I got it to turn on and start charging, but seemed like the charger was not working as it should (took a few plug and unplug cycles to get it to start charging).

A day later it was dead again and wouldn't boot/charge no matter what I did. No lights or anything when...

                      Samsung UE32J5373AS Weird LED Problem
                      by sorrowfulfloyd
Hi all, first time seeing a LED problem this weird so I wanted to discuss with y'all before handing back this TV to my costumer.

This TV came to my shop with no picture but sound present. So I thought ok this must be a LED problem and I shine a light with my phone's torch amd and yup I see the image. So I disassemble it and before changing the LEDs I check the motherboard voltages (this unit works with an external 16V DC brick) and I see 54 volts at the input pin of LED strip, considering this TV has 2 strips of 7 LEDs which at 3~ volts it must be equal to like 42 volts. I remove...
