Hi,
I have a Samsung here that cuts out everytime at exactly 30mins. Every single time.
Details:
Make / Model Series: Samsung NP300E5C
Model: Scala3-15/17crv
Rev: 1.2
BA41-01979A | PTC
I need some help with things I could check as I'm thinking that something is timing it and then issuing a cmd to kill power.
Did Bios update/upgrade
Checked Cmos batt and circuit
Tried Other ram / Cpu even tried higher and lower spec cpu. Celeron(intel) & i3/i5
Reflowed PCH as it got hot.
Checked for Nec/tokin doesn't have that shit.
Checked dim Switch. Because if its on and running and you close the lid and reopen the time gets extended but it resets. Example
Startup 0mins ----running--- 25mins | close lit , awake | time resets and gives exactly another 30mins.
Its not heat, checked temps checked fan checked pipes.
Its not windows ran in linux did the same, infact even just having the bios setup screen open it cuts out. No restart just dead / cutout. Starts up fine afterwards.
3.3 Ok , 5v OK 19v fine, 1.5v fine 1.1v fine Everything power related in the sense of ICs / Mosfets circuit is okay.
I have an extra BIOS chip in case the actual chip is faulty but thats my last resort as I only have the 1 extact same chip.
Any ideas would be very helpful.
Thanks.
MJ
