    Asus g750 shorting charger

    Hi to all,

I have a laptop ASUS g750 that seems is shorting the charger. Every time i put the charger to motherboard i hear like tickling sound and light on the charger turns off. I measure charger voltage and it seems ok, i even borrowed a new charger, but same thing, so obviously it is not the charger. So i stripped the laptop and removed everything from motherboard, even a CPU but still same thing, shorting charger. So obviously there is a short somewhere on the motherboard, probobly diode or resistor...can you please help to figure what is the problem? I have some basic knowledge in electronics and working with multimeter so help in finding short in detail would be really appreciated
    Thank you

the causes can be many, from a capacitor to a mosfet. the problem is that the power supply goes into protection and you can not check if a component heats. You should use a laboratory power supply.

yes, for a serious repair shop it's easy to check the motherboard power problem.
