Asus X555LD No Charge

Hello,

I have a Asus X555LD that does not show any life at all. It is only 1 year old and had very little use. I have looked at the motherboard for any idication to any bad components (only a visual look) but on looking I noticed a chip that had 2 pins soldered together.

I have attached an image of the chip. The markings are 4955N RAX90, this flags up as 'Power MOSFET'.

Should these pins be joined? It looks well joined to be honest I just thought it was strange.

Yes, that's normal. It's a 3+1 on one side, 4 on the other. The single pin on the right is the gate of the MOSFET.

Ah I'm not so lucky then .

Is it easy to investigate the board or is it not worth doing?

ASUS T100HA not charge

I got a T100HA tablet without a charger. I want to identify the power adapter for this unit and found that it requires a 9V input.
When the tablet is running, the 9V input will not charge it. Only when the tablet is turned off, the 9V input will charge it.

I could use a 5V charger to charge this unit at any time. However, if I use 5V during usage, the input power is insufficient for the power consumption.
After 1-2 hours, I must turn off the tablet to charge it.

I love this tablet as it meets my needs. Does anyone know how to fix this issue and allow me to...
