Re: Novatech Rasor Pro NOVATECH L55II0

It's quantity. Do you want two for 99p or ten for £1.62

It's forward direction as the contacts are on the same side. It's reverse if they are on different sides.
Pitch is the distance between the centre of one contact and the next.

If you put in the pitch, the length and number of pins it will leave you with only two. One forward and one reverse.

Have you informed the seller ? mistakes happen, they'll just send the correct ones when you let them know.

What is happening to the cables for them to all need replacing ? Are you ripping them out of the connectors without releasing the clips ?

Stick the parameters in the Farnell website. You will have to go for a 20cm and 10cm cables. If its 3mm wide and has 6 cores then that would be 0.5mm pitch.

You find the cables on Farnell and I'll confirm.
I use solder paste in a syringe with a needle but have used the Electrolube flux that farnell sell.

Yes, it's a hot glue gun. It the small version as it uses 7mm glue sticks.
There are cheaper versions available from Ali or ebay.
For example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOT-MELT-G...-/321944164478 or one with 100 glue sticks. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hot-Melt-G...-/272676461896
Plug it in, wait a few minutes for it to get hot and then squirt out the hot glue. Good for sticking some things but not others.

Alright Diif I fixed the laptop, it powers on.

Now I need to peel back some of the ribbon cable and stick the blue plastic bit some how.
The touchpad needs another ribbon cable.
Or could I fix the 6 pin connectors with the blue thing??

I think I'll go to Hobby craft for the glue gun.
Seems like a better deal than Ebay

The blue plastic bit can be stuck back on with a small amount of double sided tape. Some people use super glue but i don't recommend it as any spill will get you into trouble.
