Asus n550lf no sound

Hi can somebody point how to get sound on asus n550lf
I install all drivers from official website but no sound trough speakers or headphones ,there is red cross on sound icon ,no sound icon on device menager or device system where should normaly been there hd sound ,howto check is sound chip ALC668 dead

I even replace with another one realtek but same thing could be bios corrupt or I dont know anymore

One way to find out if the speaker is working, you have to install fresh windows.
If it's still the same no sound, install the audio driver. If the problem still persist, then you got problem with the amplifier ic.
But first, check the speaker if working.

you can check with your sound and speakers by turning on power on sound in bios setting.........after turning it on if sound comes that means ur speakers are ok

Hi because I had another same motherboard I replace realtek chip together with amplifier chip put second speakers same thing no sound ,dont have schematic is the sh###t looks like nobody have search all internet none even with option to pay for schematic nothing they have only boardview which is nothing without schematic ,but strange is that sound driver is not in system devices from intel

Just to mention that laptop work perfect without sound its shame very good and powerfull laptop and no sound to headphones

if you got sound coming out from internal speaker, could be the headphone jack is the culprit (the contact inside the headphone jack).
Try Dj_ricoh suggestion, flux and reflow the amp. ic.

i saw so many success on dv9000 and dv6000 with sound problem.
they reflow it and iit work.

thought with a scope you can see where it stops

No sound at all even from speakers or headphones jack I replace both chip realtek and amplifier no result ,must be some resistor or capacitor between them gone
